You're not too late to make an impact.
Nancy Pelosi became Speaker of The House — SHE IS 78 SEVENTY-EIGHT YEARS OLD. ⠀
Today is an important day in America. There are a lot of historic firsts in this Congress, including a record number of women.
It does not so much matter what our political differences are; it matters how we let out differences shape one another and the future for next generations.
Work has that power, all of our work, no matter what the work is called, we shape the future with our work.
"We have no illusions that our work will be easy and that all of us in this chamber will always agree, but let each of us pledge that when we disagree, we respect each other and we respect the truth." - Nancy Pelosi
One of the many reasons why I enjoyed studying politics and doing a brief stint of work in that field was the incredible work ethic that affords success, and the team it takes to make that success happen. All are equally committed as they work behind the scenes because their vision is bigger than their egos.
How does this apply to my own business? Well, I want to foster these qualities in my own team. Egos replaced with humility, excuses replaced with curiosity, and the goons telling me that I may have missed my time silenced.
You're never too old to make an impact. Nancy Pelosi and hundreds of other women do it every day in all kinds of seasons in their career.
Let that sink in, and walk forth into this year ready to take on your vision, and make this work of yours matter.
